Fort Worth Area Housing Report for September 2020
We are at amazingly low 1.5 months of inventory, which is very much defined as a seller’s market. So there will still be some challenges when buying homes in the median price range. But that doesn’t mean deals can’t be found if hunted well. At BDRE, we have our techniques for finding deals… even when other agents are struggling. Remember, experience matters.
Also note, prices are still climbing, up over 10% year over year. This is a result of interest rates remaining at amazing lows, while demand remains strong. Our market has some of the greatest demand in the nation, and we don’t see that changing any time soon. Our opinion is that this will continue to push prices higher and higher in the coming years. But location and uniqueness is an important aspect that will drive growth higher on some homes as compared to others.
An important takeaway from this report is the days on market and days to close figures. If you are selling, the average home took 68 days to list and sell. That is start to finish, from listing your home to money in your bank.
If you are thinking you might want to sell, these market stats are a good indicator that you should expect around 70 days from start to finish. Wanting to sell in April or May next year?
